| Smith & Wesson Third Model Hand Ejector .44 Special With Factory Letter. Stock # MSH151907CSP. Serial # 40xxx. A very neat Smith & Wesson 3’rd Model Hand Ejector, this 4” barreled double action revolver is chambered for the old favorite .44 Special. The pistol comes with a Smith & Wesson factory letter, which, of course, adds considerable value to the gun. Per the letter, the pistol was shipped to Wolf & Kalr, in Ft. Worth, Texas on March 21, 1932, and was one of a special order of 50 in this configuration specially made for Wolf & Klar. The pistol has about 80-85% of the original blue finish, there is freckling on both sides of the receiver, and some scratches on the right side of the receiver. This was a working gun, and not a “safe queen!” The original wooden diamong pattern checkered grips with S&W medallions still look great, although they have acquired a bit of a patina, and they rate 85-90% condition. Bore condition is good (85%) and the double action is very smooth. This is a very collectible Smith that will not only be a great addition to your collection, and it should be a great investment as well. jacksonarmorypower!
