Firearms Transfer FAQs at the Jackson Armory
Hello fellow friends, collectors, and gunspeople. In this 2009 new year of anti-gun governmental heirarchy, many of you may wish to buy guns as many guns as you can, often from other locations and have them shipped to Dallas, Tx. This is why we gladly receive transfers of modern firearms that you purchase elsewhere.********** Here are some 2009 FAQs: a. What is our transfer fee?*** $50 (tax included) per firearm for standard retail transfers.*** $75 (tax included) per firearm for direct purchases from wholesale distributors with whom we have a direct dealer relationship. (i.e. CDNN, SOG, SARCO, SAMCO, Mitchell's Mausers, Century Arms, Ohio Ordnance, and others) Why? Some of these wholesalers are starting to sell direct to the public and it cuts us out of buying from them.********** b. Is the $50 fee/gun the same for 10 guns at once, for example?*** Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to fudge on that fee a little. provided that we talk about it before the guns get here, rather than afterwards. ********** c. What about transferring more than 1 handgun at a time?*** Sure, and the ATF requires us to send a multiple handgun form to them and the local law enforcement chief's office.********** d. I don't like the gun...can Jackson Armory send it back?*** We can at a cost of $50, plus shipping and additional handling (to correctly document and re-package your item.) Those must be paid for at the counter prior to shipping.********** e. Will you ship a gun I sell to another dealer?*** We can at a cost of $50, plus shipping and additional handling (to correctly document and package your item.) Those must be paid for at the counter prior to shipping.********** Hopefully, this helps answer some of the questions you might have. ********** Feel free to call Trey if you have more questions or special circumstances! 214.363.2767
