Cased J.W. Tolley Box Lock 12ga SXS Shotgun. Stock # MSS174315CEE. Serial # 405xx. For the Collector of fine shotguns, this elegant 12 gauge SXS shotgun takes you back to a more genteel era. Made by J.W. Tolley, of Birmingham and London, the shotgun features 30” barrels, 14” length of pull, and the chokes are IC and F. The shotgun comes in a green felt-lined Tropical case with vintage cleaning equipment. This is, indeed, an elegant firearm, with exquisite engraving on the receiver and triggerguard, and finely-grained checkered wooden stocks. The shotgun has acquired a slight patina, not enough to disfigure it, just enough to give it character, somewhat like graying hair on a distinguished gentleman. There is a slight scratch on the left side of the buttstock, as this gun was actually used afield, it was not built for show! Overall cosmetic condition of the piece is about 80-85%. The bores still are crisp and trigger pull is smooth. The case has seen use, it is in 80% condition. This is an investment-grade shotgun that yo will take great pride in owning. L.C. Smith 12ga. SXS Hammer Shotgun, Mfg 1911. Stock # MSS152707BL. Serial # 167xxx. Made in 1911, this vintage and collectible 12 gauge side-by-side was made by L.C. Smith. The shotgun has 30" barrels, 14 & 1/2" length of pull, and chokes are Full and Full. Over many years of field use the shotgun has acquired patina and freckling, and this gives the gun charachter, and will also help it to display nicely. Overall condition of the finish and stocks, bith of which are pretty worn with lots od service marks, rates about 65-70%. The bores are a little dark, but still serviceable, and trigger pull is quite acceptible. This vintage L.C. Smith willbe a nice addition to your collection, and you can still get some birds with it every now and then! Antique Eduard Kittner – Coln 16ga SXS Shotgun. Stock # SP COMM. No Serial #. Made in the 1880’s or so, the barrel of this nice side-by-side 16 gauge shotgun is marked “EDUARD KITTNER COLN” indicating it was made by Herr Kittner in Cologne, Germany. The shotgun has 30" barrels, length of pull is 14" and chokes arre IM and CYL.The shotgun is in nice condition, like most guild guns, it has an engraved receiver, and blued barrels, sling swivels, a horn buttplate, and a carved Monte-Carlo-like stock. Overall condition of the shotgun is about 8o%, there is mild freckling on parts of the barrels, and like most antique horn buttplates, the bugs have eaten flecks of it. Bores are very nice. This shotgun was probably brought to the US from a returning WWII GI. This is a nice vintage shotgun that will display well on your wall oor above the fireplace, and we are offering it at a very reasonable price. Ornate Antique J. Zeller SXS 12ga. Shotgun. Stock # SPTT COMM. No Serial #. Made in the 1880’s by J. Zeller, in Paderborn, Germany, this is a very ornate antique shotgun with Damascus steel barrels, an engraved receiver, and a deluxe carved wooden stock. The12 gauge shotgun has 29” barrels, both are choked “M” and length of pull is 14”. For it’s age, the shotgun is in great condition. It has acquired a nice patina over the years, and a lot of the Damascus has faded on the barrels, but the ornately engraved receiver, and beautifully carved wooden stock are still in great condition. The shotgun has sling swivels. The bores also are in good condition. We would rate the overall condition of the shotgun at 85%. This shotgun was made back in the day when Master Craftsmen took the time and effort to make firearms of the highest possible quality for very genteel customers, this was a very expensive shotgun when it was made. The city of Paderborn, Germany was the site of the German Panzer training center during WWII, and this shotgun was no doubt the prize trophy of an American GI. This is a beautiful period shotgun of the highest quality that will display nicely, and you will be proud to have in your collection. Nikko Golden Eagle Model 5000-II 12ga O/U Shotgun. Stock # MSS200115CEE. Serial # N403xxx. Made in Japan by Nikko, this is a really beautiful, and very functional 12 gauge (2&3/4”), over/under shotgun. The shotgun has 26” vent-rib barrels, length of pull is 14”. Chokes are IC and IM. The shotgun is really handsome, it has very nicely-grained checkered wood stocks, and the blued engraved receiver has a golden-colored eagle on both sides. As for condition, one word sums it up: excellent! There are a few very minor service scratches on the stock, but “Excellent” condition means that the stocks, finish, and the nice shiny bores all rate 95%+. Made by Beretta in Italy, this 12 gauge percussion shotgun commemorates the 300th year anniversary of Beretta Firearms , 1680-1980. The shotgun has 30” barrels, a 13” length of pull, sling swivels and a bbrass and woosen rammer. The shotgun features casehardened locks, triggerguard and bands, and a polished wooddn stock, it’s a very handsome gun that will display nicely on the wall when you are not shooting it. The shotgun is in excellent condition, stocks, finish, and bores all rate 95%+ condition. This is a collector-grade shotgun that should prove to be a good investment as well. Ruger Red Label O/U 20ga Shotgun. Stock # MSS182306TTS. Serial # 400-19xxx. A really nice Ruger Red Label 20 gauge Over/Under shotgun, this is a quality USA-built shotgun that you will enjoy for years to come. The shotgun has 26” vent-rib barrels and length of pull is just a hare over 14”, chokes are IM and CYL. The shotgun is finished in a deep blue, and the stocks are nicely checkered wood. Overall finish condition is very good, however there are several very light rust spots on the vent rib, and some noticeable finish wear on the left side of the barrels, so we rate the finish at 85-90%. There are light service scratches on the left side of the comb, but otherwise, condition of the stocks is very nice, 90%. The shotgun is in excellent mechanical condition, bright shiny bores and a smooth trigger pull. The shotgun is in nice condition, some scratches and service marks from field use, mostly on the receiver, but some stock service marks as well, however there are no stock cracks or gouges, and no rust, overall cosmetic condition of the shotgun is 90%+. The shotgun has a shiny bore, the pump action operates smoothly, and trigger pull is smooth as well. The shotgun will chamber both 2 & ¾” and 3” shells. It has a 26” vent-rib barrel, length of pull is 14”, and it is choked “F”. The shotgun is .410 gauge, chambered for 3” shells, it has a 27” barrel, 14” length of pull, and is choked FULL. The shotgun is in good mechanical condition with a nice bore, and the pump action cycles smoothly. The buttstock has a few service scratches and dings, and the finish has considerable freckling and some minor surface rust, the shotgun needs a good cleaning inside and out, and we would rate the current finish at 85%. Winchester Model 97 Trench Gun, 1918, WWI Contract Range. Stock # MMS190707SP. Serial # 692xxx (W/ “E” above the serial #). This 12 gauge Winchester Model 97 Trench gun was made on May 24, 1918 (we verified this date through our membership in the Buffalo Bill Center in Cody, Wyoming – no other data was available, and so we could not obtain a Winchester letter for the gun), and this gun’s serial number range was part of the WWI US Government contract. Per both Canfield and Poyner’s books (other data has been extrapolated from these 2 excellent books as well). the gun is correct in having a blued, un-marked receiver, a 20” barrel, and is just a hair over 39” in total length. The gun has the correct letter “E” above the serial number, indicating government contract purchase. The shotgun has a WWII stock and handguard, the buttstock has a “W.B.” cartouche – “W.B.” – Waldemar Broberg, was a WWII inspector, and obviously, the stocks were replaced at some time, and this in no way detracts from the value of the gun, it just lets you know the gun has had a colorful history! Per Canfield’s book, known guns with serial numbers as close as 50 digits to this gun were issued to the US Post Office, the Curtiss Elm Air Reserve Center, and the New York Port of Embarcation . The barrel, bayonet lug, handguard, etc are all entirely correct for this gun. The shotgun’s condition, overall, is about 85%, there is wear, dings and dents on the stock and the finish, but no rust, cracks, or any major damage. Mechanical condition is excellent with a great bore. This is an investment-grade firearm that belongs in a very advanced collection. Ithaca SBT Custom Engraved Fine 12ga. Shotgun. Stock # MSS180413EE. Serial # 404xxx. One of the most beautiful fine shotguns that you will ever encounter, this Ithaca SKB 12 gauge shotgun features engraving by J. Michelena, and a custom checkered maple stock. The receiver engraving is 100% coverage with gold-colored bird inlays. There is also tasteful engraving on both sides of the barrel near the crown. The shotgun has a 28” vent rib barrel with bead sight, length of pull is 14”, and the choke is IM. Condition of this beautiful shotgun is 95%, including the finish, the magnificent stocks, and the shiny bright bore. When you take this shotgun afield, or when it is seen in your gun cabinet you are going to get lots of compliments on it, it’s just a magnificent shotgun! H&R Topper 20ga Shotgun. Stock # MSS170208SP. Serial # AY49xxxx. A great “working” shotgun, this single-shot H&R Topper shotgun is chambered for 3” 20gauge shells, and is choked full. Featuring a blued barrel and an attractive casehardened receiver, it has a 26” barrel and 14” length of pull. The shotgun has a very shiny bore, and a smooth trigger pull. Cosmetically, the shotgun rates about 85% condition, only due to a few honest service scratches in the wooden buttstock and forend. Not designed to shoot clays at the club, this high-quality shotgun was made to be a “beater” for heavy-duty field use, and it would be a great utility shotgun to carry in the trunk or behind the pickup seat, and as it is a single shot, it also is a fine “first shotgun” for the young outdoorsman/woman.
