WWII German G.33/40. This is a non-matching, non-import marked, German WWII G. 33/40 8mm Rifle, with the correct type bolt. Marked on the crest of the receiver “dot 41”, this, of course, indicates 1941 manufacture by dot – the code for Waffenwerke Bruenn, Bruenn plant, Czechoslovakia. The G. 33/40 variant of the K98 Mauser was built for Gebirgsjager (Mountain Troops), and it has additional steel reinforcing at the butt, intended to help Mountain Troops climb up and down mountains. The rifle has what remains of the initial factory blue finish and the original composite stock. It has service marks, mild stock dings and lots of finish wear and patina. There is an “XX" carved under the bolt and on the forward part of the stock. It has a frosted bore and strong rifling. This is a fairly scarce and quite desirable variant of the 98K Rifle, and it will fit nicely into your collection. We do not have any accessories for this gun. MMR253809
